South Waterfront Greenway Opening - Photos

The long-awaited South Waterfront Greenway is open! The opening celebration took place under beautiful skies, hosted by Portland Parks & Rec and South Waterfront Community Relations. 

The event opened with Native Drumming and a Blessing of the Land, followed by words of *restoring, planning & completion* from our Mayor Charlie Hales.

The schedule:
Learn about the Greenway at Past/Present/Future Tents:

•  Past – Learn about the original history of the site from members of the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde and historic industrial uses
• Present – From pristine native lands to industrial waste discover how this site became a model for restoration and revitalization
• Future – How we can work to protect what has been reclaimed

Main Stage Live Performances:

• Oregon Ballet Theatre: 11:15 am - 11:45 am
• z'Bumba: 12:15 pm - 2:00 pm 

Mirabella Willamette Hall Greenway Artist Presentation:

• Art Installation Discussion with Buster Simpson: 1:00 pm

The day will also feature a rock climbing wall, activity booths hosted by local businesses, a very special Audubon Society of Portland demonstration, and a visit from our local Umpqua Bank's Ice Cream Cart at noon!

Grimm Season 4 Premiere "Thanks for the Memories"

"With his Grimm powers gone and Captain Renard fighting for his life, Nick is forced to rely on Trubel when a menacing new Wesen comes to Portland." Aired 10/24/14 @ 9/8C.

Ep 401 Opener

Fleeing the wedding, Nick, Juliette, Hank and Trubel race back to the house, to the scene of the crime. Renard is rushed to the hospital with gunshot wounds. Trubel calmly admits to beheading the intruder guy in self defense.

Henry Slocum's House

A Secret Service agent turned B-613 agent on 'Scandal', actor Brian Letscher stepped in this week on Grimm to make a Wesen appearance as an octopus-head monster who steals people's memories.
