Leverage Car Chase Photos

Friday was an eventful day on SW River Parkway. TNT's Leverage crews filmed car chase scenes repeatedly up and down the street.

In the morning there was a scene involving a police car screeching to a halt and skidding in a circle. (You can see the skid mark circles on the street in front of the John Ross.)

Mid-day to afternoon there was a scene involving a car and cop chase, with a (planned) near-miss accident and more screeching tires at the corner of SW River Parkway & SW Curry.

Notice the cars all have D.C. plates - our neighborhood fills in for Washington D.C. in a pinch. Just as a side note, on Grimm Season 1 Episode 18, Naito Parkway and the Salmon St fountain filled in for D.C as well.

Filming continued into the evening. This marks almost exactly 1 year from the previous Leverage filming in the South Waterfront. Last year's filming also included an exciting Ferrari chase down SW River Parkway. Our neighborhood was featured as the city of Dubai in the Season 4 episode, "Queen's Gambit".

Leverage filming Friday 6/15

TNT's Leverage is returning to the neighborhood tomorrow, Friday 6/15. Filming is to take place on SW River Parkway starting at 7am...another ferrari scene maybe?! The street will be under traffic control and parking limited from 7am-7pm.

Leverage episode airs Sunday night @ 9pm

The "Leverage" season finale, "The Queen's Gambit", filmed in the South Waterfront as Dubai, will air on Sunday night @ 9:00pm on TNT.

The episode includes a ferrari chase down SW River Parkway and some footage around the park and Mirabella/Dolce Vita Bistro.

TV show Leverage filming in SWF June 6

The Portland-based television show Leverage will be filming an episode in the South Waterfront tomorrow, Monday, June 6. Filming is set to begin at 6:00 am and will conclude at approximately 8:00 pm. A Ferrari chase is scheduled on River Parkway!

Update: Leverage filming today

Lights came on at the trailers and dressing rooms around 3:00am. Filming began early this morning on SW River Parkway.

Grimm Episode 6 Portland filming locations

Aired: Friday, Dec. 9, 9/8c

Grimm Episode 6 "The Three Bad Wolves" plot: "When Nick and Hank investigate the explosion of a Blutbad's home, Monroe is brought face-to-face with characters from his troubled past."

Sherwood got a little Grimm this week! According to the Beaverton Valley Times:

"TV crews filmed in Sherwood for two days in August, including shutting down parts of Southwest Main Street as well as Southwest Baker Road and Major Oak Drive off Sunset Boulevard."

They filmed the chase scene in nearby woods. The B.V.Times also reports that we may see more in the future:

"Although this is the first time that “Grimm’s” film crews have come to Sherwood, Gavin doesn’t expect it to be the last. “Sherwood has got some good things going for it,” he said. “There’s the river going through it, and farmland and forest. It has a good varied look.”"

• Geodesic Dome House / scene of the crime - While looking for the location of the octagonal house that was burned down in the opening scene, I found this amazing but unrelated list of "Oregon Round Barns"... however, I'm still looking for the house used in this scene. (Any info? Send me a msg.)

--> Hey, an update here: Based on a tip from a reader, we suspect the geodesic dome used in this scene was a home in NE Portland on Mason St. View it on Google Maps to see for yourself.

Filming today: Nintendo commercial

A crew from local video production company @Large Films showed up this morning to film in Elizabeth Caruthers Park. They are shooting a corporate commercial for Nintendo. They will be filming in the park all day.

So the running list of South Waterfront as film/photo backdrop continues:

New Food Cart: Taste of Gyro

A new food cart popped up overnight on SW Moody: Taste of a Gyro, "your neighborhood Greek spot". The cart was previously located at A La Carts in SE Portland, and offers an "I'm sorry" sauce which was featured on the food network.

The gyros were tasty, and service was swift and friendly.

Taste of a Gyro joined the other 3 carts currently located in the SWF, all on Moody: Rip City Grill (local fave), Let's Eat Thai Food, and Kai's Kitchen.

The Hot Pink Taco Truck was hanging around the SWF for a few weeks around the time of the Leverage filming, but I haven't seen them for a month or so. The last I saw, they were by the Atwater tanking up with water from the SWF Community Garden water hose... which I must say is probably looked down upon by the gardeners and did not go unnoticed by the Atwater residents.
